“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

Telehealth

Services are primarily offered via zoom, and all initial sessions will be held via zoom. Session links will be sent in the welcome email. Clients are responsible for ensuring that they have a safe and secure environment for telehealth sessions.

Edmonds Office

In-person sessions are now available! While a majority of services are telehealth, limited in-person session times will be held one day a week at my office on the Edmonds waterfront.

Payment & Insurance

Sessions will be charged overnight with the card on file, unless an alternative schedule has been agreed upon prior. Sliding scale rates are determined based on client financial eligibility and are given with the agreement that when clients can afford to pay more, they will (thereby freeing up the spot for someone else who may need it). All sliding scale spots are currently full. I do not accept insurance, and upon request I can provide superbills, which are itemized receipts you can submit to your insurance provider. In order to provide superbills, I must also provide a billable diagnosis, which insurance companies will add to a client’s health record. Please note that not all providers accept superbills from associate level clinicians, and it is the client’s responsibility to contact their providers and confirm that they are eligible for reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy

Clients are responsible for remembering appointment times, and can email me to cancel or reschedule sessions should something come up (life happens!). Requests to cancel or reschedule without payment penalty must be made with more than 24 hours advance notice. Cancellations with 24 hours or less advance notice before clients scheduled session time will be charged the full session fee. Missed sessions—in which clients do not show up to their scheduled appointment—will also be charged the full session fee.

Good Faith Estimate

The No Surprises Act was passed under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act in order to protect people from getting unexpected medical bills. The Good Faith Estimate is a provision of this act, requiring healthcare providers to give clients Good Faith Estimates in compliance with the No Surprises Act. The act protects people covered under group and individual health plans from receiving surprise medical bills when they receive healthcare services from out of-network providers. You have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your therapy or life coaching will cost. To learn more about the No Surprise Act please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Referrals

As an individually-run private practice, there are certain levels of care that I cannot provide (for example, 24-hour crisis assistance) which limits my capacity to work with certain clients. I may not be able to provide adequate levels of care for persons experiencing suicidal or homicidal ideation or attempts, untreated severe psychological disorders (for example, schizophrenia), or current violence in relationships. In the event that I cannot assume or continue care, I will assist clients in a referral to appropriate levels of care.
