  • Let me tell you a secret. Struggles people face often feel worse when they feel alone in them. From stress and anxiety to depression and grief, thoughts and feelings are magnified when they are not shared aloud with someone who cares. I offer that space to explore and uncover what may be missing in order to feel truly happy and free.

Cost: $135 per 50 minute session

  • Even the healthiest relationships face periods of disconnection or distress. But when a period becomes a pattern, it feels especially hurtful and hopeless. This is where I come in. I offer a warm, understanding environment to explore what I call “top level” concerns (communication tools, articulating feelings, current patterns), and “bottom level” concerns (attachment wounds, unresolved hurts, power differentials). Whether you are wanting to add life back into your relationship or recovering from infidelity, I am here to help.

Cost: $165 per 50 minute session

  • As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I was trained to look from a systemic perspective, which means I view concerns from a broad lens: dyad, family, city, country, culture. Oftentimes a person is viewed as ‘the problem’, but I help explore and identify the patterns and implicit rules keeping ‘the problem’ alive. From communication patterns to unhealthy dynamics, speaking and tweaking (expressing feelings in a healthy way, changing the patterns of how we relate to each other) can make a huge, noticeable impact in families.

  • What is the difference between therapy and coaching? Therapists work as guides, exploring past and present, trauma histories, or multigenerational patterns, to help a client find a path towards healing. They diagnose mental illness when necessary. Coaches focus on the present and future, offering insights, advice, and planning, without use of diagnosis or treatment planning. I offer coaching in areas of parenting, careers, relationships, spirituality, and more.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidenced based modality for the treatment of trauma. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to briefly focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements). The EMDR process is normally shorter than traditional talk therapy and is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion linked with the trauma memories. Sessions generally run 60 minutes. For more information about EMDR, please click here.

"Last fall I was searching for a therapist to help me with a lot of big life changes - empty nesting and impending divorce, among others. After interviewing a few different therapists, I found Angela and am so thankful I did! She is a delight to work with and makes each session not only impactful, but also fun. There's been both tears and laughter, often within a few minutes of one another. I appreciate her ability to really connect with her clients in a genuine way, demonstrate caring and empathy, while also holding you accountable and pushing you (gently) to think outside of your comfort zone. While it is an ongoing process, I feel I've learned a lot of valuable tools from my sessions with her and I look forward to continuing our work together."
